9Misfit Mash-OpDanielle Liguoridanielle@sjhomeschool.comMisfit Mash-Op is committed to creating a space where learning is accessible to everyone. Our secular organization hosts playgroups alongside our co-op, allowing children to learn and play, while parents only pay for the classes they need. We are proud to offer volunteer opportunities for teenagers, fostering a sense of community and responsibility.
Our beliefs/values
Everything we do aligns with two beliefs:
1) co-op works best when we work toghether
2) community shouldn’t come with struggle
With that in mind: the co-op is very a la carte- you sign up for the classes and class periods you want to participate in. Each student can attend as many or as few classes as they want, and either come late/leave early/or just hang at the park when they’re not in class. We don’t require students to be in class just because a sibling is or charge a fee for not abiding. We don’t require you to stay the entire day. And we aim to have a variety of price points for classes.

Our daytime mash-ops are 5 periods – 4 classes + a lunch period. Our evening mash-ops are 4 periods with no meal break (but each offer a snack/small meal class).
Costs are the registration fee plus class costs. Registration fees are paid per family per location you attend. Our outdoor mash-ops have a $10 registration fee and our indoor mash-ops have a $50 registration fee. The registration fee covers paypal/stripe processing fees, insurance, and rent. Class costs are paid per student per class period they attend. Class costs are listed on the schedule. All fees cover the entire 8-week semester.
